Engraving and Etching Questions

I would like to order engraved or etched products.  Once I submit my font, text and/or logo on your site, will I get to see a proof before you engrave or etch my items?

Absolutely.  Once we receive your order, we will make a sample for you to approve prior to engraving your final items.  If you have any questions prior to or during your ordering process please contact us at 614-594-9550.  We are happy to answer any questions to make sure you get exactly what you want!

How can I make sure I get exactly what I want from my laser engraved or etched items?

We have provided 8 font choices in our drop down under “fonts”.  If there is another font you don’t see and would prefer, please let us know and we will try to accommodate your preference. If you prefer to have your copy/text etched, please enter your copy EXACTLY as you want it. Basket Chic is not responsible for spelling errors.  We will send you a proof to approve BEFORE we engrave your final products.

What files do you accept for laser engraving/etching? 

If you are providing your logo or other artwork, SVG Vector artwork  (EPS, PDF) will provide the best results. However, we can also work from high resolution JPG, PNG, files. A minimum resolution of 300-600 DPI is preferred.

How much space can be engraved on for each of my items?

Artwork may be sized to fill 80% of the available engraving space, unless otherwise specified. Placement may also vary by up to 3 millimeters.  We will do our best to make your final product look great based on your font/text/logo provided.  If we have concerns about your logo, we will contact you before printing with other possible options.  We want to make sure you are completely happy with your final products!

As with all delivery services, please take into consideration that an order’s exact delivery time will vary due to various circumstances beyond our immediate control, such as traffic/road conditions, weather, volume of orders/packages, distance, etc.  We do our very best to accommodate any delivery deadlines that you may have.  If you have questions or concerns about delivery, please contact us.

Will each of my laser engraved items be exactly the same?

Your items are handcrafted items, so please expect some variation in final products.  Different wood grains engrave differently so each product can have some variation.
